North East Bali Amed

Amed is a small fishing village on the north east coast of Bali.

There is tourism, but it’s still laid back and inexpensive. You’ll find here the famous US Liberty Wreck.

The waters here are very clear which gives rise to abundant hard and soft corals and a variety of marine life.

The Indonesian Archipelago is situated in the Coral Triangle : according to marine biologists this area has the highest biodiversity on the planet. There is something for everyone : turtles, reef sharks, sun fish, bump head parrotfish, moray eels, groupers. But also muck diving or small stuff like ribbon eels, a variety of nudi branches, all kind of shrimps, ghost pipe fish and seahorses.

The Resort is only 50 meters from the beautiful beach of Banjar Lebah.
Wherever you go in this area : Mount Agung will keep an eye on you 🙂

What’s special about this area : the tropical beaches are not white, but because of the volcano, black !

Our Team

Meet the Team

Louis

aka Garfield. There is no other cat in Amed as spoil and lazy as Louis. All day he is just sleeping and waiting to be cuddled. But take care : when you don't take off your mask during the Open Water Course he gets very grumpy !

Ketut Suryana

is Balinese. He manages the Restaurant and Bungalows. He takes pride into it to offer Balinese hospitality and make sure your stay with us is as comfortable as possible.

Borias

is from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This 'country' is situated below sea-level : all kids start swimming courses before going to kindergarten. After finishing the curriculum he joined a local CMAS (founded by Jacques Cousteau) dive club and made hundreds of dives in lakes, the Ooster Schelde and on the North Sea.
Nowadays he is a PADI Master Instructor and EFR Instructor Trainer. He is also a Free Diver, a GUE Tech Diver and Gas Blender.
