DIVE COURSES

Have you always wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater?

Come and join us for a simple introduction into the basics needed to explore the underwater world.

The Discover diving is defined as a program and not as a course thus the participant will not obtain a scuba certification. However, it is a great way for you to try diving and learn all the steps needed to later on become a certified diver.

We offer to start this program either in a pool or from Jemeluk Bay -confined open water-. Minimun age requirement to participate in a discover diving is to be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary as you will learn basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a Professional.

We structure the program in the following way:

  • Discover diving Theory Briefing + Knowledge/ use of scuba equipment
  • In Confined Water (either pool or confined Open Water) we teach breathing techniques and necessary skills
  • Swimming techniques
  • In Open Water (2 Dives) we provide you a big picture about the underwater world and aquatic life.

The Discover diving program requires half a day and it doesn’t take long for participants to realize they want to become certified. If you w then want to continue with your Discover diving or Open Water diver certification it is easy and straightforward as you already accomplish the first day of the course.
If you are looking to try new challenges this year, the Discover diving program is an ideal experience and choice.

Get ready to have a wonderful taste of how much fun it is to scuba dive!

If you are looking forward to take scuba diving lessons and experience new adventures, get ready then to get your first certification.

Together with the Scuba Diver course both are the basic entry-level courses. The difference between both lies on the duration, structure and diving restrictions after completion.

To enroll in a scuba diver or open water diver course, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is required though we expect proper swimming skills and show good physical health.

The SD can be seen as the second day of the full Open Water diver course. For SD students there is no requirement to do a final examination or fulfill confined water sections 4 & 5 and open water dives 3 & 4. This is the reason why the depth restriction after certification is limited to 12 meters and diving always under direct supervision of an active Professional.

During your OWD course you learn more in detail about equipment, dive-theory, confined water skills and safety rules & procedures for diving with a buddy till max. 18 meters depth in an indenpendent way.

Hereby you can follow the OWD course structure:

  • Knowledge Development (online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving –> 5 Sections
  • 5 Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
  • 4 Open Water Dives to consolidate knowledge and skills and explore the underwater world

Our goal is to ensure you feel confident and comfortable during your training. This is the reason why we offer you to both training environments pool and confined open water.

We provide different dive sites throughout the course i.e. Jemeluk Bay, Japanese Wreck, Pyramids in Amed or even the famous USAT Liberty Wreck in Tulamben.

We suggest a minimum course duration of 3 days or 2 days in case of independent online study.

Standard-wise our working methodology is to work on private settings for students and keep small ratios of two students per instructor. If requested we can take a maximum 4 students.

Continue your adventure, explore new possibilities and deeper limits, become more confident by improving your diving skills.

You can start this course after earning your Open Water Diver certification. If you want to try out different specialties, log new dives and develop new capabilities, the best way is to enroll the Advanced course that will take 2-3 days of training.

You will build up confidence and expand your diving knowledge through 5 Adventure dives whereas two of them are mandatory: Deep & Navigation. The remaining three are free to choose from a long list of options i.e. Enriched Air Nitrox, Wreck, Night, Buoyancy Control, Fish ID, Drift, Sidemount, Photography, etc.

If you’re already an Adventure Diver, you only need to complete two more Adventure Dives to earn the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old are ready to participate in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives – please check with us-.

Each adventure dive may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding Specialty Diver Course.

For instance during the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives and understand more in detail about the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. Furthermore the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive helps you to master compass navigation skills and improves your underwater navigation when using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The Rescue Diver Course allows you to combine new challenges with automatic gratification and reward.

Throughout this course you will expand your diving knowledge and experience by learning how to focus on other persons rather than being self- or task oriented.

It is a fun but intense course (3-4 days) as you learn in detail how to prevent and manage problems in the water, knowing that you can help others if needed. The goal is to prepare you for potential hazardous scenarios by becoming confident to deal with certain diving emergencies.

During the course you will go through different diving accidents or stressful scenarios, how to avoid and prevent most of the diving related problems, coordinate and deal i.e with first aid, divers stress, panic, artificial respiration and even exit techniques.

Similar as in your Open Water Certification the structure of the course includes working on theory, knowledge reviews and a final examination.

Divers often describe the Rescue Diver Course as the most rewarding course on the System.
